Pollen season and closed windows
Many people with seasonal allergies keep their windows shut in pollen season. This reduces the pollen getting in but also stops the home airing. On hot summer nights especially, keeping the bedroom shut can make sleep difficult.
How does a window filter help?
Pollen grains are larger than the pores of the window filter’s nanofiber layer. So the filter holds most of the pollen trying to get in while the window is open on its surface. Air keeps passing through.
This means:
- You can air the home in pollen season.
- Sleeping with the window open at night becomes more comfortable.
- Less pollen settles in home textiles.
