- Measure correctly. For the hook-and-loop model, measure the line where the tape will go; for the framed model, measure the frame’s inner channel. Guide to measuring will help you with this.
- Fit the dark side facing out. The filter is dark on one side and light on the other. The dark side should face out; that way the filter works best and it is hard to see in from outside.
- Use sharp scissors. The filter does not fray when cut; sharp scissors or a utility knife are enough for a clean cut.
- Choose a calm day. Positioning a large filter is harder in windy weather.

Hook-and-loop installation in brief

Clean the surface
Wipe the frame with an alcohol wipe and let it dry.

Apply the tape
Stick the hook-and-loop tape around the frame, on a line that does not stop the sash opening.

Press the filter on
Starting from the top, press the filter onto the tape and straighten the corners.

Ready to use
Open the window; the filter peels off the tape easily for cleaning.
Made to measure: hook-and-loop or roll
