What is the Odera Window Filter?

The Odera window filter, which replaces classic insect mesh, is a three-layer nanofiber membrane. With your window open, it reduces the dust, pollen, smoke and barely visible tiny insects getting in, while letting air through. It contains no chemicals and holds particles back purely mechanically. For details, see what is a window filter? page.

Layers of the window filter: breathable mesh and nanofiber membrane; smoke, dust, allergens and spores stay in the filter while air passes through
  1. 1Outer mesh

The breathable outer layer. It withstands sun and weather, protects the membrane and keeps its shape after cutting.

  2. 2Nanofiber membrane

A web of fibres much finer than a human hair. It holds back smoke, dust, allergens and spores while letting air through.

  3. 3Inner mesh

The breathable inner layer that carries the filter and gives it strength. It stands up to washing and daily use.

Which particles does it protect against?

Most particles in the air are too small to see. Classic insect mesh only stops creatures the size of a fly; Odera’s nanofiber layer forms a barrier across a wide range, down to fine dust, pollen and smoke.

Smoke, dust, allergens and spores stay in the nanofiber membrane.

The nanofiber layer between the outer and inner mesh is a dense web of fibres much finer than a human hair. Dust, pollen and smoke particles get caught in this web, while air keeps passing between the fibres. So the room airs, but the dirt stays out. More: how does it work?
